So yes I do travel not a lot but I get to travel which means I get to experience some new things. However I do not get the chance to just go and do what the fuck I want. If that was the choice I would never work and just spend all my time experiencing Manila, Cebu, and Subic.
So what have I been up to well, lets see I have really tried my best to blend in and all that. By that I mean that I am trying to try out all these cultural things so that I can better understand whats going on here. So in saying that I have been picking up little things in the local language here that I can pick up. I never knew but there are 27 forms of Tagalog, and they all have different names depending on where you are from. So hello challenge number one, learning some key words that are key to the majority of the locations. That's a really tough feat that I have learned. Here where I am currently located the main language is called Chabona and I am positive that's is NOT the proper spelling or pronunciation. However that's the way of the island world.
So other than bitch and moan about all the different fucking languages and NOT get to travel lately, I have still been busy as a mofo. I have been working day and night but even though its really busy and intense here its still not like Iraq. I mean I have more jobs and more things that keep me busy and less time to work out but I enjoy it here much more because there is variety in my job here. I am honestly thankful for it because I know 3 months into Iraq I was bored and ready to come home. Here I am still ready to come home and the drop of a dime but I stay super busy and the time difference really fucks up my short lil stints home aka calls.
So as for the local culture I got to experience some things that I swore I never would. One of them being Bulute I had my first lil shot at that on Sunday and well let me just say that its a fucking egg. Cut and dry, I honestly do not understand what the whole deal is, ITS A FUCKING EGG! There is zero percent difference in eating bulute and eating a hard boiled egg. Whatever though to each his on and all that, we also had one of our people that is also a local, make us this huge barbecue yesterday. I had bulute, pansit, lumpia and many more dishes. So Kristen be ready cause the lumpia dish I had is going to have a fucking awesome receipt with it!
Anyways enough rambling I miss and love every0ne take care

Umm...no, a hard boiled egg is just a hard boiled UNFERTILIZED egg, where as balut is a fertilized duck (or chicken) egg with a nearly-developed embryo inside that is boiled and eaten in the shell - feathers, beaks, legs, and all...that is NOT like eating a hard boiled egg at all, sorry.
imean taste wise and also there are stages of balut love ya
Hahaha! aww you seem pretty agitated with the fact that you had to try a normal hard boiled egg with a different name. That is alright, different places, different cultures, accept the fact and stay happy. Just by the way keep learning new languages.
