One day last week, a fourth-grade teacher asked the children what their fathers did for a living.
All the typical answers came up: Fireman - Mechanic - Businessman - Salesman - Doctor - Lawyer, and so forth.
However, little Justin was being uncharacteristically quiet,
so when the teacher prodded him about his father, he replied, 'My father's an exotic dancer in a gay cabaret and takes off
all his clothes in front of other men and they put money in
his underwear. Sometimes, if the offer is really good, he will go home with some guy and stay with him all night for money.'
The teacher, obviously shaken by this statement, hurriedly set the other children to work on some math problems and then took little Justin aside to ask him, 'Is that really true about your father?'
'No,' the boy said, 'He works for the Democratic National Committee and is helping to get Hillary Clinton elected as our next President, but I was too embarrassed to say that in front of the other kids.'
Thanks Tracy! Miss ya fucker!

Boy from Bama; A Sailors Tale
I have experienced many, many changes in my lifetime thus far. Today I would just like to talk about and explain a few of them.
My parents got divorced when I was young. I do not really remember any of that, I only remember growing up with 2 families (mom's side and dad's side) with step moms and step dads. I remember HATE would be the single word to describe my step dad! I know that's a strong word, but I hated that fucker with all my heart. I am sure Tracy remembers him and can vouch for me on this, because this dood was a fucking dick. He used to beat the shit outta me and my mom and I just wanted to get the fuck outta there, and I was only 5. That should explain a little bit more why a five year old hated his step dad so much, I would beg my mom everyday for us to leave.
She finally listened to me and we ended up moving to Colorado. There was lots of sight seeing on the trip because it was summer and I was about 8 or 9 when we finally left. We decided Colorado was not the right place for us and I went back to Alabama to live with my dad while mom found us a new place to live.
I did the whole house hopping thing for a couple of years because of the differences between my dad and step mom. He always told me that my step mom didn't want to raise another kid because her son was pretty much grown. That ended up working out really well for me because after a short stint of living with my grandmaw Essie, I moved in with my grandmaw Mavis. As you may or may not know, that young lady is quite a character.
Re-Edited (by www.hollyehaas.com) possible first paragraphs of my bio. Not really sure why I want to write this right now but I just felt it in my heart after reading some of Holly's and Randy's blog. I will go more into it later with greater detail. Just wanted to get this part out while it was in my head. Sorry Holly was going to kill me if I didnt get the final product up today! Love ya

UnSuper Friends Beware!
Ok so here is a snippet from my first story. No its not complete and yes I am still working on it. But welcome the the life of a SUPERHERO!
As always I Love and Miss you
BAMA
Hi, my name is Thunderbird. That’s not my real name, but my stage name, so to speak. I have a stage name because I am a superhero. I have a 16 foot wingspan, which would make one think I could never have any semblance of a normal life. My wings are massive and strong, and to date, my top speed of flight is around 900 mph. I have a pretty cool suit. It’s kind of like a miniature life support system which is used to allow me to fly into space. Now, granted I can’t fly to the moon or anything like that, but I can fly above the earth in the upper atmosphere and into the limits of outer space. What’s really cool about flying in outer space is that due to the weightlessness of space, I can fly even faster. I can even hit about mach 2 or so.
I have several pages of this story complete but not ready to publish here. So when the story is complete I will post it. Until then Standby to Standby. As always I Love and Miss you

Who Am I?
A father of two
one silly boy that I love whole heartedly,
one beautiful boy that I will never see,
A military man and a defender of freedom,
a patriot for his country and a spiritual believer,
a dedicated lover,
and an only son to his mother,
a man full of hope, courage, and will,
who never wants to be, the one that must kill,
So who am I with what my eyes have seen,
I am me, and that' s who I will always be.

Quick update
WTF have I been up to? Well let me see here, first off is I finally got a room all to myself, so the stache palace is a solo pad now, which is goooooood! I can finally have some well (I Think) deserved me time. I am super backed up on my reading I have like 20 more books here that I want to blast through yet I just dont have the time. I am however asking congress to approve longer days make em like 30 hours and wipe out Mondays all together. We will see how that goes, ill keep ya posted.
I was several pages into my first story when well shit got really busy and I put it down, I managed to proof read it the other day though. An well it just plain sucked ass and was totally not what I had in mind so I shit canned it. I did however barely start on a new story and so far I think it is more superior to what the other was. Anyways I keep plugging away at it as I have time.
Lastly I have been swamped with regular work and my new warfare pin. I am in charge of the circus that is the other 11 people trying to get it done. Some of which are completely fucking lazy and I have to force feed them all the damn info. Yes it is a lot of information to know but fuck ya gotta just dive in and get dirty to learn this shit.
Anyways thought I would drop some updates I will post more later. Cause its been a rough week on the home front. But that is for another day.

Quarterback for the Packers...
In a news conference Deanna Favre announced she will be the starting QB for the Packers this coming Sunday. Deanna asserts that she is qualified to be starting QB because she has spent the past 16 years married to Brett while he played QB for the Packers. During this period of time she became familiar with the definition of a corner blitz, and is now completely comfortable with other terminology of the Packers offense. A survey of Packers fans shows that 50% of those polled supported the move. Does this sound idiotic and unbelievable to you? Well, Hillary Clinton makes the same claims as to why she is qualified to be President and 50% of democrats polled agreed. She has never run a City, County, or State. When told Hillary Clinton has experience because she has 8 years in the white house, Dick Morris stated "so has the pastry chef".

What I got
Ya I know its a cheesy title that I total fucking riped off from Sublime. So what fucking sue me, but I wanted to toss up one more note before bedtime. Which by the way its way the fuck past mine. Anyway as I sit here and I have the tune jamming, the brilliance of this song really sank into my big fat head.
To me it really says do all the shit you can to be happy before you can't. I mean Loving is what I got, is what I got said remember that. An I got some severe love for a few people in this world and I would like to point that out here. My mom and dad for making me who I am, Love is what I got. My three brothers, you fuckers have been my life blood more times than I think there are numbers in the world for that I say thank you, an Love is what I got. My sons Elec aka mini me he makes me strive to grow and be a better person and hopeful role model for him, Son I love you from the bottom of my heart, LOVE is what I got, to John Thomas I am sorry and I miss you very much you seem to be in my dreams a lot lately and I wish I would have managed to have some time with you, I Apologize, LOVE is what I got. Holly the best woman I have ever known (disclaimer moms don't count we all know moms rule the world) you have truely brought a lot of joy back to my life and made me feel whole again. THANK YOU, Love is what I got. An last but certainly not least are my friends, you all are the building blocks of life and I have learned so many valuable lessons from each one of you that I can never really say thank you enough. (Sorry I don't have time to list everyone or I would, I am getting very sleepy), Again LOVE IS WHAT I GOT, for each and everyone of you. Thank you all for making my life better.

Q for Quotes Bob
So ya know I have added a quotes section to my blog and here is why, because I hear so many of them and sometimes I hear one that blows me away. Today was the same, I happened to catch a quick part of a the Movie I AM LEGEND with Will Smith. I heard my newest quote from that movie and I feel drawn to it. I feel drawn to it because as I sit here in a war zone that quote rings a thousand times truer for me than most.
Stacked with the constant talk of the forces draw down by our government and I can not help but feel that there will soon be a huge void here. An whether we like it or not it will keep sucking Americans into it. No one wants to listen when they hear that pulling out is not the right idea. All the politicians hear is people screaming bring our troops home, but we know well more than anyone that coming home before this place is settled is not the right idea. Us pulling up and coming home right now would probable cause a massive rift in the systems that we have managed to get into place so far. Also the few people here that are on our side would turn their backs on us, and that could all possibly lead to more bad shit on American soil.
Will we ever get all the bad people here, I very seriously doubt it. However we can remain here in a significant number so as to set up this government and let them run the country on there own. Anything less and we are going to be hurting in my opinion.
Disclaimer: These are all the opinions of me and no one else and that quote sparked this post.
As always I love you and miss you all at home and can not wait to be there with a beer and my friends and family.

Feel like laughing
A blind man wanders into a lesbian biker bar. He finds his way to a bar stool and orders a drink. After sitting there for a while, he yells to the bartender, "Hey, you wanna hear a blonde joke?"The bar immediately falls absolutely quiet. In a very deep, husky voice, the woman next to him says, "Before you tell that joke, Sir, I think it is only fair--given that you are blind--that you should know five things:
1. The bartender is a blonde woman with a baseball bat.
2. The bouncer is a blonde woman.
3. I'm a 6-foot-tall, 185-lb. blonde woman with a black belt in karate.
4. The woman sitting next to me is blonde and a professional weightlifter.
5. The lady to your right is blonde and a professional wrestler. Now, think about it seriously, Mister. Do you still wanna tell that joke?
The blind man thinks for a few seconds, shakes his head and mutters, "Nah...not if I'm gonna have to explain it five times."

Great 08
So ya I know I just posted some other ramblings, these will be along a different line. I apologize for the ramble in the other post but after reading the other blog felt I had to say something. No disrespect Tracie.
Anyway so what the hell have I been up to you ask, lets see work, work work and more work. Yesterday I worked for 18 hours but did manage to see the Tide Roll all over Colorado which was awesome! ROLLLLLLLLLLLLL TIDE!
So like holy hell its 2008 already and as always I have worked out my resolutions.
First, to workout like a madman (I have to get bigger faster and stronger for 08) TOP PRIORITY
Second, I will STOP dipping forever! no more of the bullshit It will happen!
Third, I will finish my associates degree.
Fourth, I will make E-6
Fifth, I will get my warfare pin that I am already working on.
Sixth, I will get my next dive qualification.
Seventh, I will invest my time and money into opportunities to better myself! (I made that 7th on purpose ya know cause like gambling you want it to be all 7's on that slot machine hahaha)
Eighth, To learn something new everyday of deployment, no matter how big or small it maybe.
Ninth, I will complete at least one of my short stories.
So there you have it my goals. Lets see I am already working on numbers:
(1) (I have holding a constant 180 lbs but I have dropped 5% body fat, just have to stay motivated in the cold ass weather).
(2) done and done.
(4) I study something everyday to help me get closer to my goal.
(5) I am in charge of 12 people who are responsible to me, to also get there pins so I would have to be a complete shit bag to not get mine!
(7) Being here has made me understand how valuable my time really is, working 16 hours a day, and trying to get in workouts, eating, showering, sleeping and training. You have to be pretty damn efficient at clock management.
(8) I have to keep my brain stimulated in some fashion, so I have started a whole bunch of menial little tasks everyday for everyone to participate in such as Song of the Day, where someone (usually me but sometimes others) writes down the first song that pops in there head in the morning and everyone who knows it has to sing it then name the band. Words of the day where I will open the dictionary to a random page and pick a word out that I do not know. Then we all learn it and the following morning we have to use the previous days word in a proper sentence. They may seem retarded to most people but its the little things that people enjoy each day that make all the bullshit seem less daunting.
(9) Ah yes my stories, they have been on the back burner for about 3 weeks now because I simply have not had time to work on them more. However I do want to finish one of the three that I have started, I will most likely be using the guidance of my 3 brothers to help in finishing these. (Thanks again for sending me that folder will help me a lot).
So anyway in all its gayness there it is. All the shit on my plate as of now. I love and miss everyone and keep on rocking out!

Ramblings
Howdy again from sandbox land, stroll on in and have take a seat. I am going to ramble for a few minutes on things going on with me and around me somewhat. They may be short or long even I do not know. But I have not had a chance to throw out an update in awhile so here she is.
Lets see its already 2008 holy hell 07 flew by at the speed of light and a ton of stuff happened to me in 07. Some good some bad, because sometimes I can be a knucklehead and get myself into stupid shit. Anyway that is a whole different story for another time.
So we did finally get a female thrown on us here at my camp which I thought would never happen, she is an Officer and a reservist from Boston oh yay. So she rambles stupid shit about the Patriots and Red Sox all the time and its pretty fucking annoying. Other than that I really do not talk to her and almost all of our guys kind of shy away from her as much as possible. Why because we did not want any women here. We where accustomed to living the way we were and now we have to change and be all nice and shit. Let me tell ya that does not go over very well.
That leads into my next little snippet, I just finished reading Tracie's blog about people, she is right about one thing people are all different. So I use the ole credo of take each new person with a grain of salt, and try to get to know them before judging. Everyone does have the capability of being stupid, childish, immature, and reckless. I however like to think of everyone as good until they prove me wrong (some say this is good of me others tell me I am the fucking idiot). Again to each his own. Long story short do not judge people without walking a mile in their shoes, this goes for everyone in my opinion! Fortunately I do not have to deal with as many folks around as my good friend Tracie and also we do not have all the woman drama.
So in closing I like where I am at the moment as far as where I could have been over here. It is pretty laid back and everyone stays out of your shit as long as you do your job. So anyway Peace Love and fuck 08 has to be better than 07 for me personally. I LOVE and MISS YOU folks back home. I hope all the party's rocked!
