Getting there

Its almost New Years and I have not even had a chance to figure out what my resolutions will be. I think they will be something along the lines of being home more finally and spending as much time with family as possible. I am almost positive I will leave it at that this year. I would really like 09 to be the year of Family for me leading up to my wedding in 2010. With that said I have another piece of the family puzzle to display

Howdy

Well I just wanted to drop in and say hello and Merry Christmas and Happy New Years. None of that bullshit ass Happy Holidays business. I am old school, you know the folks that actually know how to spell Christmas and say it at the same time. I do not get much time for family over here and I think that is also my biggest disappointment for this time away from home. I love what I am doing here most of the time, (helping people mostly kids) but it really takes away from my family and for that reason I also do not like it. Therefore I am torn with whats going on around me. I love everyone so much and I miss everyone, I also miss talking to my Wife and Son a lot because those to saved my ass last year when I was gone.

Love you and Merry Christmas

Whats another 2 hours

So I am doing well, but I have been really fucking busy at work lately and today was finally a chill day sort of. So I had to take advantage of my down time by stopping back in at the good ole Tattoo parlor. I got the shading finished up and started on the color. I have to say that I think its coming together nicely, and I would like for everyone else to see it as well

I got a Number for ya!

First off I have to say ROLL TIDE we finally got another monkey off our backs today, beating Auburn. Yes I know they beat us 6 years in a row, well I got a number for you Auburn fans its SEVEN, Seven losses on the year and no fucking bowl game for you! I swear I am not bitter, cause how for the last three weeks all I have heard is IF you guys beat Auburn, you can't beat Florida. But you know what that is what they said about Clemson (who we beat 34-10) and Georgia (who we beat 41-30) and about LSU (who we beat 27-21 in OT). So you know what Florida fans you can go fuck yourselves also and yes we love to be the underdog! So only time will tell if we are deserving of the number one ranking in the US! If not its a pretty sweet consolation prize in the Sugar Bowl!

Second off as you all know i have been getting a little work done on my back. Well today I finally got a chance to do a little addition to it. Here are the first two pictures so far. I am seven hours in total so far and I am guessing I still got 2-4 more to go. Also those that said shading was the easy part can kiss my ass! Well I have to amend that somewhat the shading was not that bad just the parts that are really dark that he had to go over several times. It felt like my skin was on fire! Enjoy and know that I miss and love you all

Busy Beaver gets some time

So first off let me start by saying ROLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL TIDE! We have still managed to be undefeated for the season with 2 possible 3 games left to OWN everyone. I am super stoked about my Bama team fucking up people again. I have not seen anything like it since the 92 season when we won our last national championship.

Next well I have been really busy this week but seeing as it was Sunday and all I decided to make some time for myself. It all started with listening to MOST of the Bama game on yahoo radio. I say most because as most of you know I set an appointment for getting my tattoo done this morning. My plan being that I would get up and go get it done before the game so that I would be home in time for the game. Well plans change and mostly because this place has more blackouts than California every even thought of having. Pretty much everyday its an issue that we have no power. So I get up go to knock my tat out and low and behold the power goes off for like 3 hours. So I am in the third quarter when the base power comes back and my guy calls me. Being the super fucking nice guy that I am I roll over there because Bama is well ahead of the Bulldogs and well not wanting to miss yet another oppournity to get my tat done I went. The tide rolls and I get my outline done. It was three hours for the outline and I will tell you what anyone that recommends a tat on their back should be punched right in the mouth. Man the spine area of my back was fucking brutal, I never made a sound or yelled once but I have never had my WHOLE body tence for that long for anything. So without further ado I will post a pic of the outline and let you guys see it. I will post progress pics when I have them because I still have a long way to go with shading and color. So just sit back and stay tuned for another episode of the Bama is getting his first tattoo done.

Love you guys

Work Never stops

So yes I do travel not a lot but I get to travel which means I get to experience some new things. However I do not get the chance to just go and do what the fuck I want. If that was the choice I would never work and just spend all my time experiencing Manila, Cebu, and Subic.

So what have I been up to well, lets see I have really tried my best to blend in and all that. By that I mean that I am trying to try out all these cultural things so that I can better understand whats going on here. So in saying that I have been picking up little things in the local language here that I can pick up. I never knew but there are 27 forms of Tagalog, and they all have different names depending on where you are from. So hello challenge number one, learning some key words that are key to the majority of the locations. That's a really tough feat that I have learned. Here where I am currently located the main language is called Chabona and I am positive that's is NOT the proper spelling or pronunciation. However that's the way of the island world.

So other than bitch and moan about all the different fucking languages and NOT get to travel lately, I have still been busy as a mofo. I have been working day and night but even though its really busy and intense here its still not like Iraq. I mean I have more jobs and more things that keep me busy and less time to work out but I enjoy it here much more because there is variety in my job here. I am honestly thankful for it because I know 3 months into Iraq I was bored and ready to come home. Here I am still ready to come home and the drop of a dime but I stay super busy and the time difference really fucks up my short lil stints home aka calls.

So as for the local culture I got to experience some things that I swore I never would. One of them being Bulute I had my first lil shot at that on Sunday and well let me just say that its a fucking egg. Cut and dry, I honestly do not understand what the whole deal is, ITS A FUCKING EGG! There is zero percent difference in eating bulute and eating a hard boiled egg. Whatever though to each his on and all that, we also had one of our people that is also a local, make us this huge barbecue yesterday. I had bulute, pansit, lumpia and many more dishes. So Kristen be ready cause the lumpia dish I had is going to have a fucking awesome receipt with it!

Anyways enough rambling I miss and love every0ne take care

Work work work....

I apologize for not being on here sooner but as you can tell by the title I have been a very busy boy. Lets see it all started very early in the month with a Trip to Cebu and Manila. The trip was over all about 11 days long. I was doing most of my work in Cebu helping some folks out up there with a major project. Then only spent the night in Manila before returning home.

I returned home to the tune of chaos, everything was breaking and/or not working properly here so I have pretty much spent everyday up until right now getting all that shit situated. Is everything 100% now? Fuck no and I do not think it every will be, just because the nature of the beast here is ALWAYS fucking changing. I apologize for being very general with my wording here but that is also the nature of the beast.

The good parts about Cebu (I got to see a few because they could not work us 24/7 even though they wanted to) was that its very cool on the upper side of the island. Its a very nice beach resort area, the water was awesome and super blue and I got to see my first sea snake. I was snorkeling at the hotel area beach and people where feeding the fish and what not when I noticed this big ass sea snake. He was just chilling there on the bottom of the ocean floor about 25 or 30 feet down just minding his own fucking business. No photos sorry I didn't have my gear with me or I would post some pics of him cause he looked really cool (like black and white camo). I however never got time to go to the casino in Cebu and I am very disappointed about that as I hear that Craps is a big game here. An already some of the other guys that did get to go won an ass ton off the craps tables so next time. So the first couple nights in Cebu we stayed at the Parkllan which was right downtown and really close to everything, which was cool. However they had this major ass construction project going on next door so we eventually moved to the other side of the island to the Shangri La resort. Which was where we spent the remainder of our days in Cebu. Google those hotels if you like because they are amazing places both of them and I would recommend either to a traveler. The Parkllan is closer to all the downtown stuff and had bigger rooms, but the Shangri La was a much nicer overall place (4 swimming pools, hot tub, golf coarse, and private beach) but was much farther away from EVERYTHING. It was an hour cab ride to downtown or pretty much anywhere. The only good side to that was that cabs are really cheap it was under 200pesos for an hour cab ride. At 47 pesos to 1 dollar you get the picture.

So anyways I am still around and wishing I was home for a freaking Halloween with my peeps, but alas I am not. I miss everyone and at the same time wish you all where here with me. This place is very poor financially but super rich in sights. I wish I had time to just travel to all the islands and see everything. You never know what you might see just flying around this place, for example I saw a school of whales while island hopping. How bad ass is that! Well folks take care and until next time be safe and I miss you!

Generation Kill + the PI

So let me just start by saying that if you are looking for a happy go lucky or funny sitcom Generation Kill is NOT I say again NOT for you. However if you want to watch a show with some balls and is a fairly accurate depiction of what combat is like then this is a must see. Its kind of like the "Saving Private Ryan" of today. There are parts and people in this series that will piss you right the fuck off. So do not watch this and yell at me later because of the few that are fucking idiots but the world is full of them. Watch the series with an open mind is all that I ask and if you can try and put your self in the Iceman's position. In my opinion he was one of the only ones of the series with any common fucking sense. Anyways it is a great watch especially if your into war stuff. So enjoy!

The PI, man this place is fucking beautiful parts of it are very run down and all that but in short terms if just very awesome place here. I was flying around to various places over the last few days and from 1800 or so feet up you can see for miles. There are somewhere in the neighborhood of 7000 islands here and most of them are uninhabited. While being out and about today I was thinking to myself the whole time I wonder what one of these little islands with no one around would cost to buy? Yes it would be a lot of hard work and all because you would have to build (and import) most everything. But I almost think it would really be worth it. To buy my own fucking island have a farm and garden build a pier and buy a boat! There you have it, I think that just might be my new goal, of coarse I will have to run it buy the wife and all, so I will keep you abreast of that situation as it unfolds. So back to the PI the water is just awesome, warm and crystal clear blue. Pretty much every island I saw made me think of Hawaii, but with less people no super rich influences and tons of natural beauty. I will put up some pics or maybe even video I hope some time. Until then just know that we are doing good things here and I hope we will continue to get to do some for as long as the people here need us.

Until next time! Peace, Love and all the good stuff!

Da Rockstar

So, I am checking in again from the PI. How am I, well, lets see; I have gotten to go do a few things with the locals so far, and let me tell ya I really enjoyed helping out the children at the orphanage. The one thing I have a hard time with is how they treated us, though. Don't get me wrong, they were not mean to us or anything, it was just the opposite. They treated us like rock stars, taking pictures with us and wanting autographs and stuff like that. It was pretty flattering to be honest, but I really just enjoyed helping them out. I learned some really cool stuff, for example: the kids at the orphanage are taught to do all the chores, no matter how old they are. Also, they all make their own canvas for artwork and I was lucky enough to be given a small piece of a child's art. Some of the kids were victims of human trafficking and come from several different countries. So, when I read news articles about how we are not here to do good work for the country, I kinda get pissed off, only to realize that its just the 'bad guys' propaganda at work. I am hoping to make it out to some of the even more less fortunate islands later this week to do some good deeds there. We will see how that works out for me. Anyways, I love and miss everyone and until next time, take care out there, or wherever you lay your pretty little heads!

Peace OUT

Family Tree

So I have been pouring a lot of time and energy into doing my family tree. An let me tell ya one thing about it. It really sucks, especially when not many folks are around to tell you things. But I keep on keeping on, an trying to find out what I can.

Some other things going on in my life right now, well lets see. I have recently gotten married! It all went down in Vegas and I am still a little bit Getty about it. I had so much fun while we where there. I have to say that Hank and Em really did and awesome job with a lot of things that when down in Vegas! I love those guys so much. One day I will get to slip one in on them turds!

I also recently got re-deployed but not to the dirty dirty sand box this time at least. I am in the Philippines which is a whole new challenge. But it should be fun, exciting with a lot of good things coming out of it, both physically and emotionally. I know some of you have read things that say we are not here for humanitarian aid but let me be the first to say they are wrong, that is all!

I am back to a decent eating, sleeping and work out schedule which I am really digging right now. Considering the rock star summer I had. It was a fucking whirl wind, I got home from Iraqi and it was welcome home party. From there it was June birthdays (their are about 15 of them suckers) so we had a party like every other day which was a ton of fun! Then it was 4Th of July and my bro Randy was in town and we had to party on Jelly beach. Then it was holy shit August birthdays (an I swear their are about another 10 of them) and we was partying again all the damn time! Then we rolled right into Augtember birthdays, just cause September nor August could hold us all! An we had the major blow out over an the still kinda funplex, cause we are still waiting on the tyrant of a land lord (or his wife, or cousin, or dog etc....) to move in! Then low and behold it was FUCK Bama is deploying again party and that was just plain fucking silly, but at least not Fuck Bama is going to Iraq deployment party silly. Cause those well there were about 15 of those, and that's not because I think I am special or anything its just because FUCK that's the way it happened OK sue me.

DEEEEEEEP Breath! Breath Bama Breath

I know fuck man I gotta get back in the fucking warrior mode man, where I can just fucking blog all day and fucking workout ya know. But some days I wanna just eat chili cheese dogs and swim, I know that was total random but damn it I wanna be random some days. Anyways I love each and everyone of you turds out there and until next time!

TURD NATION WILL LIVE FOREVER! (all rights to this phrase reserved by my wife hollabama.inc)

Times running out

As I sit here I have a thousand thoughts running through my mind, such as do I have all my stuff, will I do a good job, is it to soon to go back. Well I am ready to go, the sooner I leave the sooner I will be back for a much longer time. The more I think about it the more I am stoked to go, it sucks for me and my new wife but we will survive. Enough about all that crap anyways I have been as busy as usual.

Lets see I finished reading my book recently another Greg Iles book called Mortal Fear which is about a company that sets up a new type of sex chat system, but its only for the wealthy folks in the world. When somehow a serial killer gets into the system and starts killing women from it, and its supposed to be a super secret system that no one will ever know who all is on there other than the founder of the company. This is a very short a dirty break down of the book however its my third or fourth read from this author and so far they are all very awesome. I also got a very awesome new quote from this books.

It goes like this " The mills of the gods grind slowly, but they grind to powder." Basically saying that it may take some time but we all get whats coming to us!

I need for everyone to look at this thing http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=power+thirst&search_type=&aq=0&oq=power+th it is mofo hilarious!

I just want everyone to know that I Love and miss you and I cant wait to get back and party and hang out with everyone. Love you guys and I will see everyone soon.

Busy Busy

I have been so damn busy as of late that I have had no time to write, blog or really do much of anything except to be busy. Lets see what has been going on with me, well I have had a major life changing event for the GOOD! I got married to a beautiful young lady who whisked me away to fabulous Las Vegas NV for an awesome weekend! We ended up not doing to bad finally once everything was all said and done we were a little better than even gambling wise. What saved my ass was hitting a 360 dollar pot on a dollar slot machine. Then Holly did pretty good with me at black jack and roulette so we made up the rest we had lost on Fri.

I had the week after Vegas off but I was busy getting my life in order and trying to get all my shit packed so that I can go on deployment again in a very short time. I have a pretty good ideal where I am going but I am not getting my hopes up as things change all the damn time and well I do not want to get let down. So when I finally hit where it is I want to go then Ill be happy then, but until that time I will just keep my fingers crossed.

This past weekend we had a great time as we had our 2nd annual Rib-Off OB style. Stolen from Hanks blog are the winners (and Loots) as follows:
Silver Medal, vegetarian ribs (Cask n' Cream): Emily J

Gold Medal, vegetarian ribs (99 Blackberries): Emily J

Best shit-talking without actually cooking any ribs (99 Bananas): Andrew Deans

Best rib-off venue hostess, (Grand Ma): Guacansas, Holla

The 1st annual "fall'n off the bone" memorial tenderness award (The kick'n chick'n): Tony

Best lamb ribs / best presentation (Jack Daniels): Kelly

Best Sauce (Southern Comfort): Moi

Best in Show (Bushmills): Da4ve

Best rib-off organizer (Cool Jack): Dana

Note: All of the above prizes were airplane-bottle sized, except for Downtown's, which was a half gallon. She later fell out of a tree and had to spend the rest of the night in an arm sling fashioned out of her bikini top. Then she lost her phone, wallet, passport, house and car keys permanently. I'm not making this up. In retrospect, maybe we should have given her an airplane bottle.

Best singer-songwriter, rib-off anthems (Das Komet): Hank

Was another fantastically event and I will try and get some pics up from the even very soon. Thanks to all that came to Vegas, and the Rib-Off both events where just down right AWESOME!

PS to Mr. Polivy you sir suck for hidding all the way out in North Carolina so you would not have to defend your last years title!

The Brothers Darrell

Continuing on with the part of being busy as hell, my brother Randy popped over to Cali for a visit during the 4Th of July. He landed the Thursday night before the 4Th and of coarse we had to hit up some bars. So we popped on over to the Tilted Stick to see if we could spot any of the crazy locals, and have some Irish Car bombs. We did manage to spot a few people we know and hang out for awhile (or till closing we are not sure). Before heading home to crash and get ready for the big day.

On the 4Th we woke up really fucking early and headed to breakfast. We ate had some mimosas and realized we were to damn drunk and it was to damn early to be up so we headed back to the house and crashed out again for awhile before heading over to Kelly's for the big bash. July 4Th was an awesome day, we spent it on Kelly's fake beach, drinking, eating, playing games and just in general having a really fucking awesome time.

On Sat we got up nice and early and rolled down to Ole Mexico, for a day of shopping, eating, drinking and general madness! We walked across the border into TJ, strolled up and got 3 tacos for a buck and Dos Equis for a buck was a pretty fucking cheap lunch gotta love it. Afterwards we cruised around walking off the tacos, we where checking out the TJ market and some Mexican Zebras. Darrell got several good deals on some souvenirs and some tequila. Hell we even managed to find the sex shop and hit that up for a little while as well. We finally got our fill of ole Mexico and headed back across the boarder to the good ole U. S. Of A. Where we decided to get some more booze before heading out to ole Mission Beach to enjoy some booty shake at the ole Sandbar. Was an awesome day and I think ole Darrell really enjoyed himself!

On Sunday we rolled up to the San Diego county Fair to have some drinks, eat some really crazy, super bad for you food and ride some rides. I managed to drag Holly and Randy onto a bungee ride that launches you into outer space at the the rate of 5 G's. It was super fun we all had a blast and headed over to eat some really not good food. I had a deep fried white castle burger, as did Gene, and Treq, Randy opted for the Krispy Kreme Chicken Sandwich. They where all OK but I know I will never eat any of them again. Once was plenty for me.

Monday was a pretty chill day we just cruised around OB letting Randy do some shopping to take back to Bama with him. Then we headed over to Hodad's to get some grub before we continued looking around OB. After which we kind of just hung out at the house being lazy and resting, until evening when we headed downtown to get some Indian food and follow that up with a view of the new movie Hanncock. All in all the evening was good, and pretty much summed up the whole trip. It was a great visit for me and I hope it was just as enjoyable for my brother Randy. Anyways I am off to the desert to do some real work now.

Until next time
Bama Out!

Busy as Hell

So I am going to try and remember all the fun I have been having since we left Aruba and get everyone all caught up and shit. It will take me some time and I will probably make Holly help me with some of it, even though she is busy as hell too.

So first off you all know that I got back from deployment got a little bit of time off and then we bolted for Aruba. Which was a blast and I have already blogged about. From there it was back to San Diego for a few weeks of work before going on leave again and heading back to Alabama to visit with some family.

So we went to Alabama for some family time which was awesome. I picked up my son Elec shortly after leaving the airport, and we headed to my mom's house. My mom has been feeling not so good lately so I spent some time with her and got her back to going to the doctors and getting all fixed up. Other than that it was just me Holly, and Elec and we was hanging out with my brothers. Finally on Friday me and Holly dropped off my son, and we headed up to Bonnaroo for the weekend.

Bonnaroo was a lot of fun, other than the heat that is. It was hotter than to dogs fucking in a wool sock! First night Metallica was definitely the highlight for me but there was many other fun bands to watch on Friday night. All in all we where partying until around 3 am on Fri. Saturday we got up bright an early to the degree of around 95! It was blisteringly hot at 7 am so much so that you could not sleep in. So we got up had some breakfast and headed back into the grounds to do some shopping and see some of the morning crazies. We ate and partied all day long, enjoying such bands as Jack Johnson, Pearl Jam, Phil Lesh and Friends, Chromeo, Little Feat, and many many more. Bonnaroo was a good time over all but next time if we go again we are definitely going to rent an RV so we can get some more rest.

Sunday morning we work up to the blistering fucking heat again ate some grub and packed up our camp. We hung out with our neighbors and enjoyed bullshitting with them for awhile before we headed out. Just after we got outside the camp ground on the way back to the interstate we saw the Jack Daniels distillery sign and if you know me then you know we had to go! We got there in plenty of time to see the place and do a tour (we choose not to do the tour because I wanted to get back to my son). So we headed back to Bama to spend some more time with the family.

When we got back that Sunday afternoon, I got my son and we settled in for the evening just chillaxing and watching some TV. We all got up around 8 on Monday morning had some breakfast and headed off to New Orleans. That is still a long ass drive, especially when your traveling with an eight year old. But we made it to New Orleans in pretty good time. We enjoyed a good dinner on Bourbon St. watch some of the freaky deakys running around and headed off to Florida.

We spent the next two days trolling around in Destin and Fort Walton beach Florida. We played in the water (which is just amazingly warm and clear), ate some good grub and just have a pretty relaxed time until it was time to head back to Bama.

Friday morning was the big day (an pretty shitty for me in some ways, I had to take my son back to his mom which I never like doing) we all got ready for a day of rafting and bbq'ing. We headed up to the Oocee River in Tennessee, where a buddy of mine was supposed to take us down the river. He was having some issues so we ended up going with someone he recommended to us and I am pretty sure everyone had a blast. We have a little tradition of following up rafting with some 40's on the dirt roads in back woods Tenn before returning to Bama so we of coarse had to do that! Then headed back to Bama for a bad ass BBQ with the family! Over all the trip was very fun as it is always good to see the family and spend time with them fools, but I always look forward to coming home. Of which one day I will actually bring my son out here and let him enjoy some more time in California!

Aruba

So Aruba has been a blast so far, basically we landed on the island. Flew through customs, which here was a much better experience in comparison to Cozumel. Then we jumped into a cab and headed to our resort. On the way to the resort, me and Holly were talking about how we hoped that the hotel check in would be a lot easier than it was in Cozumel as well, and it was.

After getting settled into the room, we got cleaned up and wanted to head out for some food. There just happens to be a pretty good little restaurant attached to our resort so we decided to check that bad boy out. We got in the restaurant and was chill-axing and enjoying some good food and drink. Holly said she had to go to the rest room and got up to go, that's when I pulled out the ring I had made for her and hid it under her napkin. When she came back and sat down I simply asked her if I gave her my heart would she wear it forever, and she said YES, then I said Holly will you marry me and she said Yes again! This is a pretty simplified version of a long long dinner. We ended up staying there for about 5 hours total eating and drinking and having a good ole Time. Then Holly had a few to many and decided to start drunk dialing folks from Aruba to tell them the news.

Check back in a few days I will be blogging about our dive trips. As always I love and miss everyone

Third, I will finish my associates degree.
Fourth, I will make E-6
Fifth, I will get my warfare pin that I am already working on.
Sixth, I will get my next dive qualification.
Seventh, I will invest my time and money into opportunities to better myself! (I made that 7Th on purpose ya know cause like gambling you want it to be all 7's on that slot machine hahaha)
Eighth, To learn something new everyday of deployment, no matter how big or small it maybe.
Ninth, I will complete at least one of my short stories.

So far this year I have continued to work out like crazy with the exception of the last 2 weeks because I am finally home and enjoying a little time off. I have stopped dipping finally and it feels pretty damn good. I did get my warfare pin as well as the other 12 folks that I was in charge of helping get theirs. I just took my test on Wed for E-6 so in a few months i will know for sure if I At least made it. I am working on going on leave and all that business right now so I am saving all my classes for the end of Summer or start of Fall then I will be jumping on the education wagon.

I know that's a jumbled mess but fuck it that's where I am

I am looking forward to being home and seeing everyone soon. Have a good day and I miss you all

So ummm

I was just reading brother Randy's blog and saw his new tattoo. Which looked pretty cool and its a very big symbol of the friendship that Tracy, him and I have shared throughout the years. To which I can only say thank you guys for being awesome!

So what the hell have I been doing your wondering, well lets see here. I have been learning still how to manage my time first and foremost. Why is that you ask, well because without learning that shit and trying to improve on it everyday there is no way that I would be able to do the 6 jillion things a day that I need or want to accomplish. Some of those things are very mundane others are dumb but all things I need to do to be done with my work for the day. Such things as cleaning, gear or repairing broken gear while its sucks and is very boring to do, well its part of the job. Other things I enjoy a lot like helping people because I can learn from them some small detail that I never knew before or better ways to do existing chores.

An with what little free time I have currently I have managed to finish another book called Blood Memory by Greg Iles which was phenomenal! I have made another post about one of his other books I read which was also very good. So stop being a slack ass an pick em up and read them they are great. Lets see I have also managed to find time to study for my rating exam that's coming up pretty fast. I am hoping that if I kick this ones ass the percentage of advancees will drop just enough for me to get in there. It has been a fucking pain in the ass trying to advance over the last four years because of all the rate mergers and shit. So that is my current mission is to lay waste to this exam and make some extra cash!

Lets see what else we got, well I am missing a certain young lady named Holly. I definitely believe she is the yin to my yang! I mean like we just settle into each other like a black and tan hehehe. Had to toss a lil redneck talk in there. I am super stoked to be home soonish and see her again. I am also looking forward to going to Aruba and doing an ass ton of diving. I miss diving a hellva lot especially when I have no chance to do it. I equate diving to sex and breathing you never miss it until your not getting any!

Most of all I just wanted to say this will prolly be my last post for awhile because we are going to be super busy for awhile. If I do manage to find some time and have anything worth while to talk about I will surely pop on here and leave something but otherwise ill talk to everyone as soon as I can.

As always I love and miss you all

F'in A!

Holy hell I blinked twice yesterday or something and bam its fucking March already. Time really flies when your having fun I guess. Cause you all know that there is just some much fun to be had over here. All we do is go out clubbing and shit, hahahahaha I mean fuck I guess I just woke up from a dream. That's the shit I wanna be doing.

So anyways today I am working out and the Creed song My Own Prison comes on, and I guess I never really heard it before like I did today. Today it just got a whole new fucking meaning for me. It kind of hit me like we are all our own prison's, you choose what you let people see of you and such. But also your trapped in yourself, while also choosing what type of cell you want to be locked into. My choice was obvious I choose to be locked away in the military. Other peoples vary as well and we are all very different but in a lot of ways we are all the same. Some of the shit I see and hear only further makes me believe these things, and i know not everyone will agree with me here but just keep your mind open to a new idea or maybe not so new an idea as a new opinion. What the fuck am I talking about you ask, well let me break it down like this. Whats the difference between a christian extremist and a Muslim extremist? A christian extremist will blow up an abortion clinic and a Muslim extremist will blow up a building of Islamic believers or infidels. Now some would say that those are very different, but coming right down to it, they both do it because of what they believe in! That my friends is Their own prison, those are the four walls that surround their brains and they refuse to listen to any new ideas or opinions and are very resistant to change.

So what is the moral of this story? Let me see here I would say to keep an open mind to all things and try to not judge anything at face value. Unlock the doors to your comfort zone and step the fuck out and enjoy life all while being who it is you want to be and FUCK everyone else that don't like what you have to say.

As always I love and miss everyone.

Whats Crackin wit you?

So now that I have knocked out my warfare pin, I have found that i have some actually free time. Not much but some none the less, and I have been using it to my advantage. With my little bit of new found free time, I have managed to watch a few movies and read a book, as well as mess around with my story some more.

I watched We Own the Night which was a decent movie, not quite what I was expecting but good nonetheless. I also watched Sweeny Todd which I apologize if ya liked that movie but it was fucking terrible. I am done with Tim Burton movies, the last few have been boring and just plain not good. Thanks Tim for wasting two hours of my precious little free time fucker!

I did read a book called the Black Order by James Rollins I believe. Great book starts out a little slow and after finishing it I was like man this dude has got one helluva an imagination. Then he has an after thought at the end of the book and explains some of the shit he wrote about, it blew my mind. So check out the book it was well worth reading.

I also have been squeezing some study time in for my rating exam coming up. So basically long story short is that I am becoming an adept time manager. An ya know what, fuck I hate it! Anyone that knows me, knows that I like to do everything in my own time and well I know that doesn't really match up to well with the whole military thing and all but fuck that's how I am.

Oh an lastly I heard a few new songs that I really liked one of the is by a band named Another Animal, I googled them and apparently it is all the members of Godsmack, minus Sully. The song I heard kinda sounds like Godsmack with a different singer but I rocked. Also I listened to a song by a band named Saving Abel called Addicted which was pretty fucking bad ass. Lastly I have been going through all my music lately and I was getting a little bored with some of the shit so I stumbled across Coheed & Cambria and was like fuck I don't remember this band so I start checking them out and totally remembered these guys and yes they fucking rock to.

So out of all my fucking rambling you should have gathered that I hate having to keep time and actually fucking manage it. Its boring and makes the days go slower, most everyone I know calls it Willbanks time! Music and books rock, movies are boring the shit out of me lately and I miss home. Anyways as always I love and Miss everyone!

Until Next time,

Been busy

So I have been super slacking on any updates as of late and I apologize for that. I have been super busy working on getting one of my 2008 goals knocked out and I finally finished it on the 15th. I knocked out my warfare pin, it consisted of a written test (50 questions), an oral board, and four practical applications. I blew that shit outta the park and made it look easy. However I have been sick as hell the last week and have not felt like doing anything. The worst part was I had to take my board on the worst day of my cold. Anyways today is the first day that I have even felt human, so I am just letting everyone know that I am alive and well. Still busy as hell, and no longer sick and hopefully I won't be sick anymore for a long ass time. Now that all that is out of the way I am back to studying for my rating exam that is coming up soon. If I can blow it outta the park like I did with the pin then I will be a really happy camper. Anyways everyone take care and ill write more later.

As always I love and Miss everyone!

FO SHO

This article is funny and sad all at the same time. But the last line is the fucking truth, not so much that working hard doesn't get noticed, but more so of living to work is just fucking WRONG! And thats All I have to say about that!

And with this class I predict that 2009 as the year of the TIDE! Next year I think we should be a decent 8-5 but 09 for sure is going to be the first of our years to reign supreme!
Love you all and ROLL FREAKIN TIDE BABY!
