Ok since I am so damn originally challenged I am asking everyone for some help. I want to start writing, I do not know what yet maybe short stories. But here is what I need help with, I am looking for 3 items that I can make common to all of the possible short stories. I know we have some very smart funny people out there that want to help me out so lets hear some ideals. An thanks for the help! I love you guys

Mmm, maybe things that have to do with your own life? Where you're from, what you've experienced, your background/childhood, changes that have happened? Sometimes it's easiest to write about what we know personally to start off with (maybe a day in the life of where you are now...? the same situation through the other people's eyes who are also involved?). OR...maybe think of scenarios and go off of that, such as a trip back to see family or for a wedding (the journey itself), waiting in line for something, a night out/on the town, a trip to the mall...I dunno, random funny and strange things happen to me all the time, and always at the most unexpected places. Get your notebook out and running and start takin notes!
Well I have one idea. Just to get you writing short stories and getting your feet wet. Do the chronicles of some gaming sessions. think at the wealth of tales that could be told of Kalimir, Malaki, and Sam Sackville. So many sessions, adventures and dungeons. And it wont have to be made up. Its just using your memory to recreate the events and make them detailed and exciting. Or a superhero Saga starring Thunderbird solo or even the VCV. Good idea tho man, I personally have writing a novel as one thing i would love to do before I die.
Also on the Middle earth thing. As far our names cool, but you can always change the NPCs names and the world to reflect something original too. Rename the dungeons, The NPCs like Shelob or Saruman etc. Endless possibilities for the sword and sorcerer in your bro.
